इतिहास गवाह है
आदमी कभी औरत को बढ़ते देख हज़म नहीं कर पाता
एक बात ज़रूर मेरे नहीं हर औरत के जहन में आती है
जब मर्दं तरक्की करता है तो मंदिर दरगाह माथा टेकने जाती है
उसी की लंबी उम्र की कामना करके आती है वर्त भी रख लेती है।

अगर वहीं घर की लक्ष्मी उसी घर की रौनक या अपनों का सर
ऊंचा करवाती है तो तिरस्कार से पुरस्कृत करी जाती हैं क्यूं?

इसलिए कि men Hippocrates society औरत को आज भी
हुकुमं की ग़ुलाम ही समझती जाती है या
पैरों की जूती सी उसकी औकात जाता दी जाती है।

मर्दानगी कम हो जाती है अगर औरत उनका कंधे से
कंधा मिलाकर चलना सीख जाती है।

अगर मर्दं सारे आम औरत की इज्ज़त नीलाम करे तो
या मार भी डाले तो बचाने की बजाएं वीडियो विरल हो जाती है।

अगर औरत इसी जगह होती और अपनी पहचान जता देती
और वहीं ईट का जवाब पत्थर से देकर उसका हाथ
वहीं तोड़ देती तो मर्दानगी पर डेश पहुंच जाती है।

जब औरत अकेले होकर भी लाखों से टकराती है
ये कहावत नहीं ये इतिहास के पन्नों में ब्यान है
एक औरत एक मां होकर जब इज्ज़त पर बात आती है
वो सीता नहीं वो काली रूप लाखों पर भारी हो जाती है।

वो कमज़ोर नहीं निर्बल नहीं वो झांसी बन जाती है
इतिहास वहीं रचती है जो लहरों के विपरीत चलना सीख जाती है,
अकेली हूं तो क्या हुआ एक मां से बड़ी पहचान नहीं
मुंह काला तेरा साक्षात नहीं तेरे ज़मीर तुझे दिखेगा आज नहीं ,
तो क्या हुआ कभी तो तुझे जाता दिया जाएगां।
तो क्या हुआ कभी तो तुझे जाता दिया जाएगां।
तूं बाप होकर कर भी बाप नहीं ये तेरा कर्म दिखादेगा।
अकेली हूं तो क्या हुआ मेरी कलम मेरी पहचान है
खुदगर्ज़ी में जीने वालों औरत कोई खिलौना नहीं
ये पहचान तेरी खरीदी नहीं तेरे बाप की जागीरं नहीं
अकेली हूं तो क्या हुआ मां होने का फ़र्ज़ चुका दुगीं।
शुक्रगुजार हूं उस रब का हर्षिता को ये समझा दिया
बेशक नाम पर नाम जुड़ा हर्षिता को जज़बात ए हर्षिता से मिलवा दिया।

तेरी हाथों की कठपुतली नहीं मैं
तेरी हाथों की लकीरें नहीं मैं
तेरी मुठ्ठी में बंद सपना नहीं मैं
तेरी बटुए में पड़ा खोटा सिक्का नहीं मैं
तेरी बेबसी का इल्ज़ाम नहीं मैं
तेरी बुजदिली की पहचान नहीं मैं
तेरी ज़िन्दगी की पतवार नहीं मैं
तेरी मुश्किल की आसानी नहीं मैं
तेरी बेरुखी की कहानी नहीं मैं
तेरी दुश्मनी की प्यासी नहीं मैं
तेरी प्यार की गिरफ्तारी नहीं मैं
तेरी तिरस्कार भरी बातों की मेहरबानी नहीं मैं
तेरी दोस्ती की लिस्ट में शामिल नहीं मैं
तेरी यादों को भुलाया वादा नहीं मैं
तेरी क़िस्मत के शिकंजे में फंसा परिंदा नहीं मैं
तेरी यादों को भी हक़ नहीं याद भी आयु मैं
मेरी ज़िन्दगी का काला साया ध्ब्बे सा कालक
विश्वास नहीं मैं
मेरी क़लम मेरी अभिव्यक्ति सहारा वहीं मैं

DeleteHarshita, your points are very valid. But the good news is there are some changes we can see around. There are good husband's hus lovers who want their wives/partners to progress. There are men helping around the household and men openly supporting their wives. Of course, much needs to be done....but the revolution has begun, my friend. So cheer up!!

We do have a long way to go and it is up to us mothers, sisters, teachers and leaders to change the mindset of our own men - fathers, brothers and those boys/men under our supervision to bring about more change...faster...

DeleteThere is so much pain and anguish in your words which has reached me, the reader. It took some time for me to finish reading your post because I'm not so fluent with the language. But that is not stopping me in appreciating your post. I, however, believe not all men are to be blamed even if we feel there are only a handful who treat women with respect.

DeleteYou have expressed the hypocrisy of our society so well. Sadly sometimes, even women are the reason that men have so much courage to dominate women. If we women only stood up for each other then we could have got rid of this hypocrisy long time ago.
